Performance
The Outlander PHEV is a great option for Franklin drivers that want to experience owning an electric vehicle without completely giving up on traditional gasoline performance. A 2.4L MIVEC 4-cylinder engine is paired with twin electric motors and an additional battery that can be electrically charged. With a fully charged battery and a full tank of gas, you can travel up to 420 miles1 or enjoy an estimated 64 MPGe combined1. If you run out of gasoline or you simply want to travel without releasing emissions, this model can go up 38 miles running solely on EV power1. Regenerative braking2 is a key factor to the impressive efficiency, along with different drive modes that include Save mode, Charge mode, EV mode, and Normal mode. Another benefit? You’ll be able to attach a small trailer or pop-up camper with the 1,500-lb. maximum towing capacity3.
Interior
With the 2025 Outlander PHEV there’s a place for family and friends when you’re headed out to the Mass Audubon’s Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary. Three rows of seating provide up to seven passenger capacity and you can fold down the 50/50 split-folding third row if you’re looking for additional cargo space. Thanks to the wide door configuration it’s easy to load and unload large items, especially if you are looking to make use of the 64.7 cubic ft. of maximum cargo space4. If you’re interested in luxury-level comfort features, look no further than the available message function front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and semi-aniline leather-appointed upholstery. Heated front seats come standard, so you won’t need to stretch your budget in order to enjoy quick warmth on chilly days.
Safety

All 2025 trims include the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems5 suite, which includes Forward Collision Mitigation with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Blind Spot Warning.
